Another card for my Holiday Cat series. Really can't tell the cat is cut out and pop dotted up in the photo. I need Michelle Zindorf's input in how to make the cat not looking like he's floating down the hill. I just couldn't get it right. I'm using more blue (thank you Lydia) as I try and work outside my box.Sunday, November 9, 2008

:) !
he's sooooo cute!!!!
Try another layer of white under his feet, see if that keeps him grounded. Or even just a line with pen.
I must be blind. I can't find the date for the kitty Christmas Card class.
Kitties. Must...have...kitties...

Cute kitten -- I could tell immediately that he was "pop dotted". Try a gray smear beneath his feet to appear as a shadow.
I'm with Patti - try a little "pool" of gray around the bottom of the cat's feet to make more of a shadow effect - you could also add the shading to the top of the snow mounds to connect the two pieces :)
