Two Week Challenge

Hubby is leaving in the morning for his annual visit back to what he likes to call "the mother land" Michigan.  While he's gone, I plan to challenge myself and do something new everyday.  One of my favorite movies is Julie/Julia, so along that line, I will try a new recipe everyday for the next two weeks from the Cook's Illustrated cookbook.
I picked this cookbook because you can make everything using only a skillet.  On top of that I will design a new card everyday too.  That will be the hardest part of my two week challenge.  I haven't been in a very creative mood.  Annie is now at her full German Shepherdness and has the bark/bite to back her up.  She is getting more protective when at home with me and is always at my side.  Wish me luck and check my blog to make sure I'm staying on task. :)

Yikes!!! Biting and barking?!?!? That sound like my brother's family dog, a pure-bred German Shephard that was raised from a puppy and supposedly "socialized" with good experiences with people and other dogs. NOT!!!!!!!!!!! She's sweet and gentle around people most of the time, but certainly hates other dogs near her special person, my sister-in-law who has been fighting Stage Four Cancer for four years now. The dog was already over-protective of her about two years before diagnosis when she was a "puppy." Having the dog is great at Tahoe where she chases bears up trees, but terrible when she grabs my mother's sweet little Jack Russell by the throat...

I wish you muchísima suerte!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annie is a very sweet dog. She now has a very deep bark which scares a lot non dog people. She has her adult teeth now, which I brush everyday to keep clean but again people freak out when they see her because they are so white and you notice them right off the bat. She is still a very gentle dog and not an aggressive type GS. Plays well with all dogs, even the ones that bit at her.
