It was a busy Mother's Day at our house. I was asked to make a cupcake out of Red Vine licorice for one of my great-nephews who has food allergies. It was the quad's birthday p(four babies born within months of each other) party today. My daughter Evan handed off this assignment to me at the last minute when she realized that it wasn't as easy as it sounded. She did have a great back up plan and made Jello cupcakes. Jello poured into the paper cupcake cups. I thought this was a great idea for kids who can't have dairy or eggs. The birthday babies all get a cupcake with a candle in it, so we had to have something for Ty. I forgot to take a picture of the licorice cupcake but I thought it turned out pretty cute.
