Antique Sewing Tansu

Every now and then something super special comes into the store. When this small tansu came in, I didn't know what it was as we were very busy so I put it aside to check out later. During intake of donations it gets a little crazy. Tansu cabinets normally have some type of damage because the wood is very light. When I finally had the time to check it out I was so surprised when I lifted the lid and the pin cushion popped up. It was a debate how we would display it as it can't handle customers "playing" with it and it's too tall to fit into our locked cabinets. So now it just sits waiting for space to open up some place safe. 

Googly Eyes For the Win

 While I have access to a large dining room table (staying at a friend's house) I've been busy making cards. I think I have another 75 to mail out this week! I've been looking for diamond glaze to make the eyes pop but with limited crafting stores around haven't been able to find it. So when I found a miscellaneous bag for googly eyes, decided to just go for it. I think it's funny but not sure how the church going folks in Ohio will feel about it. My friend asked specifically for more happy birthday and get well cards. Normally I don't add any sentiments to my cards making them an all occasion type of card. So what do you think of the big eyes?
