Women over 50 challenge

55 and proud of it!

I've joined the Women over 50 challenge to do things out of our comfort zone. It is to empower older women to be comfortable with who we are. With my weight loss and boxing work out, my body has changed a whole lot. No spandex needed, not that I would wear those awful things even if I wanted to.
I was challenge to wear a short skirt and 6 inch heels. Getting those shoes on was a challenge, not to mention walking in them. Wish there was a video of me putting them on. We were laughing so hard and I almost fell over twice. With the shoes on I'm almost 6 feet tall! The next challenge is in the works now.

Card Class

Some quick cards for my  card class down at the Akiyama Wellness Center today. They will be learning how to mask and use an air brush. I took the photos with my cell phone so you can't see the bright colors.

Eat Well, Travel Often

Well this month has sure turned out this way! 

Had a week of great home cooked meals from a master chef and will be going on vacation to a warm and sunny beach location.

Life is good!

Washi Paper Card

One of the cards the ladies will be making next month at the center. It's a simple card but it does take time to prep.  Great way to use up your scrap washi paper.

More Quick Cards

Two of the cards the ladies down at the Akiyama Wellness Center will be making on Friday. Simple cards using what I have on hand. Now that I don't have a studio to work out of, I have to plan out the cards I will be making. I can't wait until the last minute anymore. 
The ladies like them fast and simple but with high impact. The class is working out well and now that my day to day routine is some what normal, I may teach the class more often. The creative process  of planning the class is very therapeutic.

Just a little giggle

Saw this and it just made me laugh. Sure miss not having my little fur babies with me anymore.  Hope someday to have the whole pack back together.

Beekeeper's Birthday Card

I'm going to a birthday party for a old time beekeeper. Saw a card on Pinterest that used the word "vomit" instead of spit.
I just changed it up a bit.
My mom would not eat honey because in her words "who would have to eat anything a bug spit back out"!  I even, back in the day bottled honey called "bee spit" in memory of my mom. :)

printer's cabinet up for sale

A good friend is selling her printer's cabinet. She has a new craft space and it just won't fit.  It's about 6X5X3 and was refinished.  Super cool piece I wish I had a home for. Let me know if your interested.
