It was a year ago that I found and adopted Annie. A family posted on Craig's list they had German Shepherd puppies. When I called, there was only one female left so I beg for them to hold Annie for me. They lived across town up in the hills so it would take me an hour to get there. The minute I picked up Annie (she was only 15 pounds then) I knew I found the puppy I've been looking for the last 10 years. Annie is the best dog ever and I'm a very lucky person!
Happy homecoming birthday Annie - Libbi hopes you're having a GREAT day! She knows that you are a very lucky dog to live where you do, your momma spoils you just like Libbi's momma spoils her!
You and Annie are so well suited to each other, very lucky to be together. Finding the right dog is the greatest! I enjoy reading about Annie and her adventures, especially with her big sticks.
Flat Fish Paper Arts was born many years ago when blogging first started. My family did a lot of camping and diving along the California coast. California halibut are huge fish that start out as any normal fish. As they age, one eye will start to move to the other side and the halibut will become flat so it can lay on the bottom of the ocean with both eyes facing up.
I always like the idea that we all start out the same but life experiences slowly changes us. In my case, my creative talents went the way of paper arts. Flatfish are always looking up when they mature and as with any artist, we see inspiration in everything around us - always looking up.

Years ago a local dive shop had a photo of a diver who caught a halibut so big he had to throw it over his jeep to take the picture. Our little spoof with our daughter sitting in her toy jeep with dad's halibut on the hood. 1987

Congratulations on finding a good dog. It's life-changing to share our hearts with furry friends, especially when they are as special as Annie!
