When you teach card making classes, you end up with lots of extra parts which turn into cards becasue I hate to throw everything usable away. I have hundreds if not thousands of cards. Last year I decided it was silly not to mail these cards out to friends "just becasue". So I have a little red book with a list of card worthy friends I regularly mail out to. I also donate a box full to charities around the country.
This funny turkey was picked up at a local rubber stamp flea market at Cranberry Hill. If you haven't ever been to a rubber stamp flea market, you have to add it to your crafting bucket list!
I also have a ton of ribbon I have to use up so it makes each card a little different.

The USO has a presence at most major airports. My card group has donated cards to them for the service men and women passing through the airport. They appreciate having free cards to send to their loved ones.
